These piloted cutters are designed to bore a hole
exactly the same diameter as that of the punch to
be inserted, thus giving an absolutely tight fit.
The use of a small diameter pilot drill to give
the ‘lead in’ hole for the boring tool
also enables the hole to be positioned much more
accurately in the forme.
